How we replaced every musical instrument with permissible war-drum layers while keeping combat feel intense.
The Legend of Kawa is built to fully respect Islamic guidelines on audio. That meant rebuilding our SFX pipeline from scratch: no strings, no wind instruments, no synth pads.
What we did
- Every music cue was regenerated as layered war-drums and hand percussion.
- We adopted an OpenAI TTS + ElevenLabs SFX combo for narration and impact hits.
- A single feature flag (
SHARIA_AUDIO) audits new audio at build time and blocks anything that fails the check.
The result: intense, cinematic combat that families can listen to without any second thoughts.
