Bosses & Zahhak's Five Phases
How the final showdown remixes itself every time you fall.
Zahhak, Phase 1 — the Snake-Shoulder
The opening phase. Zahhak's two shoulder serpents strike at head height, forcing you to break rhythm on your parry cadence. Look for the long wind-up on his overhead swing — that's the punish window. Approx. 40% health.
Zahhak, Phase 2 — the Molten Crown
Zahhak plants his crown into the ground and the whole arena floor pulses with ember rings. Movement matters more than reaction here. Keep the crown at the edge of your vision and use the safe wedges between rings to close the distance.
Zahhak, Phase 3 — the Twin Serpents
Both shoulder serpents detach and stalk you independently. This is the phase most players die in. Kite them into a corner, let them collide, and finish the stagger with a heavy hammer chain.
Zahhak, Phase 4 — the Ash-Throne
Zahhak retreats to a burning throne and rains ember-tipped arrows across the arena. Stay mobile; the arrows telegraph in three volleys. Between volleys you get exactly one hammer combo — spend it well.
Zahhak, Phase 5 — the Broken Form
The tyrant is finally on foot, unarmoured, cornered. His attacks are wild and fast but easy to parry once you've learned his tempo. Land the last strike, and the credits open with the raising of the Kavian banner over the city.
