Long before empires wrote their own histories, a tyrant named Zahhak ruled the lands between the Zagros and the Persian plateau. Two black serpents grew from his shoulders — a curse for his cruelty — and every dawn he demanded the brains of two young men.
In a dusty smithy far from the throne, Kawa the Blacksmith lost sixteen sons. When they came for the seventeenth, he raised his leather apron on the tip of his hammer and turned it into a banner. What began as one man's refusal became the uprising that toppled a thousand-year tyranny — and, three thousand years later, it became a game you can play in your browser.
